Craig spends his days and nights endlessly sifting through the masses of music that is released on a daily basis, and Audio Flux serves as a comprehensive overview of the tunes that have been rocking SA’s dance floors over the last 12 months. Unlike most DJ mixes and compilations in this day in age, Audio Flux is mixed in a ‘live DJ’ format, with 3 CDJ2000’s and a DJM800 acting as the instruments of choice, as opposed to the clinical methods often employed with auto-sync music on computers. “You will hear mistakes as with all my previous releases, which is what makes it human and exciting,” says Craig on this method, “the live swing element inherent in club DJ sets is as vital to the feel as the music in a mix like this.”
Covering all the aspects of house that keep Craig going as one of the busiest DJ’s in the country are the primary ingredients to this recipe, along with 6 of the 25 songs having been produced by Craig himself. The mix has been receiving universal acclaim on South African shores and massive support from media, including a feature on DJ Fresh’s 5FM ‘Ultimix At 6’.
In support of the release of Audio Flux 2012, Craig is hitting the road and touring all over the country working harder than a lot of his international counterparts, and while the rest of the country gears up for holiday season Craig is preparing to keep the country’s dance floors packed and bumping. His tour began at the end of November and runs relentlessly up until early March 2013.
